I have been a professional trader for 23 years and am quite sure that my
experiences in this business parallel those of many, if not most profes-
sional traders. I experience both successes and failures and periods of
both satisfaction and frustration. Like others, I have had to stretch and

When the markets are closed, I divide my time equally between prepa-
ration for the next day, market research and working on my own mindset.
Part of this includes reading a paragraph from a motivational book each
night, by studying sports psychology or working on the physical elements,
such as exercise, nutrition and diet that support my ability to concentrate
and focus during the day.
